General Information:    
Cornerstone Christian Childcare Center is a ministry of Spotsylvania Church of God. The Center is religiously exempt in accordance with Section 63.2 page 1715 and 1716 of the code of Virginia. This holds us accountable to rules and regulations set forth by Virginia Department of Social Services. The Health Department does various inspections to ensure Cornerstone Christian Childcare Center is in compliance with their regulations. Cornerstone Christian Childcare Center is covered by public liability insurance.

Program:
Cornerstone Christian Childcare Center believes that no one is too young to begin learning about God’s love. Not only can young children learn, the can be examples for other believers. Paul says in 1 Timothy 4:12; “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in life, in faith and in purity.”

Curriculum:
For preschoolers Cornerstone Christian Childcare Center will use the ABEKA curriculum. For the younger children, we will use combination of Gospel Light, Rainbow Books as well as other curriculum mixed in. For our school aged children, we will provide time in the morning to prepare for the busy day and a retreat in the afternoon. School age children will also be provided with a quiet area to get a good start on or even complete their home work. All activities are well-balanced for group and free play, and consist of learning activities that will help your child develop his or her spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual and social skills.

Staff Training and Experience:
Our staff is carefully screened and referenced to meet the highest of expectations. Each staff member must be certified by his or her practicing physician to be free from any disability which would prevent them from caring for your children. We are required by the Virginia Department of Social Services to have at least one CPR/First Aid certified staff member present at all times. Each staff member must complete a “Sworn Disclosure Statement” and consent to a “Criminal History Record” from the Virginia State Police Department. The Center also requests a “Central Registry Search” from the Virginia Department of Social Service to ensure that your children are in the best of care.

Hours of Care:
6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except on the days mentioned below.

We will be closed on the following holidays:

Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Following Friday, Christmas Eve and Day, New Years Eve and Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day and Independance Day.

* There are instances when holidays fall on the weekend, to accommodate family time for students and staff, administration reserves the right to change closing dates. Notice of these changes will be given at the beginning of the preschool year.

School Closings:
Cornerstone Christian Childcare Center may or may not close when the county school system closes during inclement weather. For this reason, parents should listen to 89.9 or 90.5 FM or call the center for a recorded message after 5:30am. If the need arises and the Center should have to close during our regular scheduled day, we will try to contact the parent first then proceed by contacting emergency contact numbers. Cornerstone Christian Childcare Center will make every attempt to be open to serve your family.

Tuition:
• Rates are per week.

• Tuition is due the first of the week and considered late after Wednesday.

• 3 Day part time is Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

• 2 Day part time is Tuesday, Thursday.

• School holiday cost is for enrolled Before and After care children only.

• Registration Fee is $55.00. Family registration is $100.00.

• 10% discount for 1st sibling, 20% for 2nd and 30% for 3rd.

• 10% discount to faithful Spotsylvania Church of God members.

• Preschool book fees – 2’s $35.00, 3’s $35.00 and 4’s 55.00.
